Girls Group

Mum and Tots Mum and Tots

We provide the opportunity for mothers to meet other mothers and for their children to play, grow and learn in a fun, safe and creative environment as well as provide the opportunity for mums to socialise and share ideas, experiences and concerns.

We hope each session will be mutually beneficial for mum and child and inspire mums to take back ideas to do at home. To fully benefit from the sessions we encourage mums to be involved and participate in our activities which include exercise, story time, sing along, free play, art and craft and refreshments.

We look forward to seeing you on Mondays at 10am-12 noon!

Arts & Heritage Holiday Project

The Arts & Holiday projects are a series of pilot projects as part of an exciting new initiative; Muslim Heritage Education Programme (MHEP) currently being developed by Muslim Community Organisation. MHEP aims to celebrate and raise awareness of Muslim contributions to the modern world in science, technologies, medicine, arts and architecture for children, young people and adults from all communities.

To achieve the above we are developing a range of informal learning and arts related projects that have core learning objectives around Muslim Heritage, arts and creative skills alongside personal and social development activities to promote:

Stronger sense of identity, improve self-esteem, boost aspirations, cultural and heritage understanding and improve intercommunity relations through the concepts of harmony, respect and tolerance from an Islamic perspective.
